Spring Summer 08 is here - It's official.

Unpacking the wonderful summer clothes was great fun on Friday.
The floaty skirts, beautiful dresses and cute shorts in the girl collection and the Bermuda shorts and bright vests and T-Shirts for boys made me feel picnics, days on the beach and our holiday's are just around the corner.

This Fond D'Ocean dress comes in an alternate colour:
It is also available within the Rajisthan story in a print similar to the strappy dress worn by the girl with the orange bag and auburn hair.
My other favourite item is the print shirt on the boy in the jeans above, it is soft and had got lots of attention from the mums at Seaford Pamper evening on Friday.
A great start to the season with wonderful feedback from Seaford, and I am looking forward to taking the collection to Brighton, Lewes, Seaford again and Westows in Hove on Friday 15th. A very busy week!

I have just received my favourite items in my daughters size, the wrap top is my absolute favourite, we have it in the red colour and she looks very cute. Pictures will be taken in the sun this weekend and posted here very soon. At 2 we are lucky to have both the Baby girl size 24 months and Girl collections size 92 cm to choose from, so I will be taking full advantage of this and dressing her beautifully this summer.
My colleague has a wonderful idea which she did with the autumn winter collection and is due to be repeated with the spring summer clothes. In collaboration with a photographer who specializes in Families, children and location shoots, they are creating a montage of shots of children wearing the collection. It is a great way to see the clothes on real children and to see alternate ways of coordinating and putting the outfits together.
I will post the results as soon as they are available.

News and New Pictures.

My news is that I kicked off the new season literally hot off the press!
On Friday the 8th Feb - the day the new collection arrived I was at Seaford Primary School PTA Pamper Evening.
It was a great start to the season and wonderful to hear how much the mums loved the clothes.

News from Captain Tortue - If you are considering becoming a consultant this event would be ideal... On the 16th Feb the top French consultant Christelle Bergero will be speaking at an event for UK consultants. After 12 years she has a huge personal business with a team of 65, she will be sharing tips and her extensive knowledge of building a very successful business selling these very beautiful clothes.

Client update.
The Spring Summer 08 collection is due to arrive on February 8th.
I am taking bookings for shows from the 13th Feb ono.
Rewards available include an Bonus voucher for February bookings if you book a party / show - so invite some friends over for coffee and I will do the rest. This is an extra reward from me for new customers and is worth up to £20, it is in addition to the host(ess) reward of 7 % of sales.
If having a party is not your thing - I am very happy to pop over to show you the clothes at an individual no pressure appointment.

What I am up to.....
I have a big sale booked at Westows soft play, Hove on Friday February 15th.
I will be at Brighton and Hove Tumble Tots in Hove, Brighton and Seaford during Feb. dates to be set.

I have been looking for good local listings sites to list the WESTOWS show and other events I will be attending.

Why I sell Tortue.
I love working for Captain Tortue, its a friendly, family company based in the south of France and they design beautiful clothes for children. My background is not in retail or sales and I could never sell anything I did not believe in. Each season Lillian and her team, based in Aix en Provence, produce a collection containing 6 'stories'. 2 for boys, 2 for girls and 2 for babies. In each story the clothes mix and match creating endless combinations with matching tones. This means your children (and husband) can pick out clothes and they match and that each item works well with the others. Layering has been popular for the 6 seasons Tortue has been in the UK, and works well in the English climate. The clever colour choices and complimentary tones make a beautiful collection and when I bring the clothes to show to someone for the first time I can be confident they will love them.

While the girls clothes are beautiful and extremely popular, the boys clothes are an outstanding success. The clothes are colourful and in no way garish, fashionable without being too edgy, they can go anywhere; the clothes are smart enough for an event and relaxed enough to hang out with your mates in.

I help you plan who to invite, provide invitations and ensure you feel confident about the success of the evening. On the day or evening I present the collection to your guest's and explain how Captain Tortue works.
